Elliot is our resident expert at crafting messages, creating content and herding cats. As editorial director, he is responsible for CMP's custom content development and works with hundreds of clients across the high-tech spectrum to create programs and deliver information for diverse audiences of technology and business professionals.
Elliot has been a leading force in high-tech journalism and marketing for more than 20 years. In the 1980s, he was a founding editor of InformationWeek and served as the publication's first chief of correspondents. Later, as the editor of Communications Week and then InternetWeek, Elliot helped usher in the online era, winning numerous awards for the publications' groundbreaking coverage of networking technologies and e-business.
Elliot has also held senior marketing positions at IBM and Computer Associates.
A frequent public speaker on technology-related topics, Elliot organized the first educational seminar on the Internet for the U.S. Congress. He has also spoken at the UN on the Internet's economic potential and has written articles for the Gartner Group and the Washington Post.
