As president of the CMP Business Technology Group (BTG), Tony is responsible for the strategic positioning of CMP's dominant enterprise brands: such as InformationWeek, the TechWeb Network and Interop®, and moving the BTG to the next level. He will also play a key role in the transformation of CMP Technology into an advanced marketing solutions company.
A 20+ year industry veteran, Tony was at CMP throughout the 1990’s where he served as BTG President and Group Publisher. He created the vision and strategy for InformationWeek, moving the publication into the #1 position, which it continues to hold, while strengthening the entire BTG brand portfolio.
Tony rejoins CMP from VNU Business Media, where he was publisher of The Hollywood Reporter and President of the Film & Performing Arts Group. Prior to VNU, Tony was vice president of technology media at Advanstar Communications. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of Beliefnet and held several key management positions at Ziff Davis.
Tony attended San Diego State University.
