As President, CMP Game, Dobb's, Customer Management Groups, Philip Chapnick is responsible for the global management of the groups' brands, including: Game Developers Conference, ICMI's consulting and events business, and Dr. Dobb's portfolio of events, websites and publications.

Starting as Editor-in-Chief of AI Expert Magazine in 1987, Chapnick has held a wide variety of positions, including: Editorial Director (Database Programming and Design Magazine,) Director of the Computer Security Institute, Publisher (DBMS Magazine), Group Publisher of the Database Group, Executive Producer for CMP Broadcast, Vice President of Applied Technology Group, and most recently, Senior Vice President of the Technology Innovators Group.

An avid collector of books, coins, pre Columbian and African art and antiquities, Chapnick has a Bachelors Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
